Giordano Is a Melbourne-based Italian-Australian visual artist. He started his art practice in Venice and has participated in exhibitions in Australia and Italy. He participated in an artist residencies in Turkey, Germany and China, producing solo and collaborative public art installations, and has curated group shows in Melbourne, Venice, Perugia and Milan. He is currently represented by West End Art Space in Melbourne.
His art practice is influenced by architectural and landscape elements that define and distort perception on individual and collective uses of public and private space. Giordano has lately focused on cityscapes depict ideal landscape as narratives that invites the gaze to linger in everyone of its components, as well as sculptural installations that make use of fabric to evoke a complex duality between the container and the contained. |
