Mens Business, Kathmandu by David Graham

Features

ARTIST NOTES: This painting is based on a photo I took in 2015. The scene is from Patan Durbar Square in Kathmandu. Earlier that year there was a massive earthquake in Nepal. In this square there are many buildings propped up with poles and piles of bricks and debris. These men seem oblivious to all the devastation that surrounds them.

ARTIST BIO

Thank youy for checking out my bio. My name is David Graham. I have been a school teacher for the past 40 years. I am now mostly retired and have the time to paint.

My teaching career was almost entirely around regional Victoria. About 30 of those years was in and around Bendigo. I have taught in primary, secondary and in the TAFE system.

I now reside in Melbourne teaching swimming for the City of Yarra and occasionally teaching Kindercircus.

I have always had an interest in art but no formal training. I am inspired by the work of other artists and try and learn their techniques. I now wish to sell some paintings in order to fund the purchase of more art supplies.

My favourite medium at present, is acrylic on stretched canvas.
