Swans Of Myall Lake by Bec Davidson

Features

ARTIST NOTES: This piece is part of a small collection inspired by a recent family holiday to the Tea Gardens (Myall Lakes National Park) admiring the local water birds. There were a number of aloof black swans cruising the lakes and river.
This is my abstract impression of the Myall River and it’s resident black swans.

ARTIST BIO

I am a Sydney based emerging artist, nurse and a mother of two young children.

From a young age I had a passion for drawing, painting and creating; growing up in a family filled
with artists, animals and bush walks. I recently rediscovered my love of drawing and painting as a way of
coping with the stresses associated with working as a nurse (particularly during the  COVID-19 pandemic).

Once I reignited my passion for painting I haven’t been able to stop! I find it fulfilling and calming. Most of my evenings are spent (once the kids have gone to bed) sitting in front of my grandmother’s easel.

My style is eclectic, colourful and fresh with inspiration coming from a love of nature and colour.
Much of my art focuses on birds; I enjoy capturing their free spirit, colourful feathers and quirky
personalities.
