Kathy has been an artist her entire life, having completed an Applied and Finished art course in 1985. Gaining employment as a Finished artist/Graphic Artist the day she finished her three year course.
Since moving to the Macedon Ranges Kathy has freelanced as an illustrator, producing five children’s books. Designed and produced illustrations and graphics for many in the Macedon Ranges and taught art as a tutor to many children in the area. Kathy is a multi-media artist creating artwork in 2D and 3D. She loves to try any medium and has thus sculpted in various types of stone, marble and bronze. She loves painting in watercolours, oils, acrylics and airbrushing and has won numerous awards for her artwork and sculptures, in every medium. Her artwork has been sold worldwide.
Although she paints and sculpts any subject that she is asked to or feels like, her love for Australian wildlife especially birds is her main focus. Kathy helps our enviroment by drawing attention to the vast array of wild life and birdlife that we often take for granted, in the hope that people will look out for and care more for our enviroment.
Her work has been selected and printed in “Acrylic Works” in America and distributed worldwide. Kathy was one of ten artists selected by the Hume Council to be a part of the Past, Present and Future Exhibition for the opening of their new Gallery in Sunbury. This Exhibition saw Kathy incorporate virtual reality into her acrylic painting.
In 2018 Kathy join Art on Piper in Kyneton, a co-op Gallery consisting of approx. 24 artists. A committee member at AOP where she is enjoying learning more about the business side of being an artist within a group of artists.
